The Club enjoys a proud and long history of political engagement on and off campus; including campaigning in student, state and federal elections, receiving addresses from senior party figures, our annual Canberra Budget Week trip and weekly meetings, where policy motions receive lively debate.

The Canberra Budget Week Trip 2026 has officially launched! 🥳

This year we will drive up as a group on the morning of Tuesday, the 12th of May, and head back home on the morning of Friday, the 15th of May.

The week will include highlights such as observing the Budget from inside Parliament in the Whip’s Office, meetings with senior Coalition MPs, meetings with diplomats from allied embassies, Question Time, and watching the Budget Reply from inside the Chamber.

Applications are now open for the Monash Liberal Club’s Parliamentary and Electorate Internship Program.

This is your opportunity to gain real, hands on experience working in a parliamentary or electorate office alongside Liberal MPs and Senators. Whether you are interested in policy, communications, or the day to day of political life, this program is designed to give you exposure you simply cannot get anywhere else.

Placements run for 8 to 10 weeks, one day per week, with flexible scheduling to work around your university commitments.

To be eligible you must be a current Monash University student and a member of the Monash Liberal Club. If you are not yet a member, join via the link in our bio before applying.
