Tanunda’s iconic Heritage Trail markers will get a refresh to create a more engaging visitor experience.

Led by our economic activation team, the project will deliver new content, digital integrations, improved wayfinding and First Nations storytelling to complement our European history.

The refresh also aligns with the redevelopment of the Barossa Creative Industries Centre as a regional hub for storytelling.

This project builds on the early work of the former Tanunda Town Committee, elevating the region’s cultural tourism experience and strengthening the depth of the heritage trail.

Stay tuned for some great new storytelling!

Barossa Park in Lyndoch is open again to the community 🙌

We’ve been working closely with the AFL and iEDM to return the precinct to a neat and well-presented space as quickly as possible. A huge thank you to our user groups and the wider community for your patience and understanding while the precinct has been temporarily closed. Hosting AFL Gather Round was an incredible opportunity for our region, delivering a massive weekend of footy along with strong economic and tourism benefits for the Barossa.

Please note, Oval 2 is still undergoing some remediation works, but it’s on track to be ready for Barossa District Football & Netball Club first home games on 16 May.
