Search warrants were executed at properties in Mulgrave, Heathmont and Fitzroy, where detectives seized a large quantity of alleged steroids and peptides, drug paraphernalia and cash.

Police will allege the trio imported illicit drugs and steroids through the mail before trafficking them at construction sites across Melbourne.

A 35-year-old Mulgrave man and a 32-year-old Fitzroy man have been charged with multiple offences. A 27-year-old Fitzroy woman was released pending summons.

Taskforce Hawk continues to target organised crime linked to the construction industry, including individuals with alleged connections to outlaw motorcycle gangs.

Police and family have concerns for Daniel due to his age.
He is likely to be utilising public transport.

On this day, one year ago, two of our colleagues were tragically killed in the line of duty.

Today, and every day, we remember Detective Leading Senior Constable Neal Thompson and Senior Constable Vadim de Waart-Hottart and the tragedy that occurred in Porepunkah on 26 August 2025.

We thank everyone for their support and solidarity on this difficult day.

We will remember them.

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man at Clayton railway station on Sunday evening.

Local police along with Protective Service Officers first responded following reports a highly agitated man was at the Carinish Road station armed with a knife about 7.10pm.

The man appeared in a heightened state and was pacing the concourse before he moved onto the tracks.

Multiple attempts by police to negotiate with the armed man were unsuccessful while he continued to advance towards members armed.

Police deployed non-lethal tactical options without success.

Critical Incident Response Team members also attended and negotiated with the man before he was taken into custody.

Shortly after he appeared to become unresponsive.

The 37-year-old man was provided immediate medical care by ambulance paramedics with assistance from police however he couldn’t be revived.

Detectives from the Homicide Squad will investigate the incident with oversight from Professional Standards Command, as per standard practice when a person dies in police custody.

To ensure the safety of the public officers cordoned off the area and trains were halted during the police response.
