💡TRAINER’S TIP TUESDAY💪

This week we’re putting the spotlight on the stationary bike! 🚴‍♂️

The bike is a fantastic low-impact way to build your cardiovascular fitness, strengthen your legs and get your heart rate up — all while being easy on the joints.

Trainer Tip:
✅ Adjust your seat so your knee has a slight bend at the bottom of the pedal stroke.
✅ Keep your core engaged and maintain good posture.
✅ Start at a comfortable resistance and gradually build up.
✅ Focus on a smooth, controlled pedal stroke rather than simply chasing speed.
✅ Most importantly — find a pace that challenges you while still allowing you to maintain good form!

Whether you’re warming up, finishing a workout, or getting in some dedicated cardio, the stationary bike is a great tool to have in your fitness routine. 🚴‍♀️

Give it a go this week and see what you can achieve! 🙌

💡TRAINER’S TIP TUESDAY💪

The Assault Bike isn’t just a cardio machine—it’s a full-body conditioning weapon! 🔥

Trainer tip: Don’t go all-out from the first second. Start controlled, find a sustainable pace, and use your arms and legs together to keep your power consistent. For intervals, focus on strong, smooth efforts rather than simply chasing the RPMs.

💡TRAINER’S TIP TUESDAY💪

Master the Ski Machine!

The SkiErg isn't just for skiers—it's an incredible full-body cardio workout for everyone!

✅ Improves cardiovascular fitness
✅ Strengthens your core, back, shoulders, and legs
✅ Low-impact, making it gentle on your joints
✅ Great for building endurance and burning calories

Trainer Tip: Don't rely on your arms alone! The power comes from driving through your core and hips while keeping a strong, starting upright posture. Bend at the knee when on your pull down. Think of it as a full-body movement, not just an arm workout.

💥 Try this challenge: 30 seconds hard work, 30 seconds recovery × 8 rounds. It's a quick, effective workout that will leave you feeling accomplished!

Have you tried the Ski Machine yet? Ask one of our trainers for a quick technique check on your next visit! 🙌

COMMUNITY SERVICE EXPO 2026🌟

Staff had a fantastic afternoon yesterday at the Community Services Expo, proudly showcasing everything our facilities have to offer💪

A big thank you to Oberon Council for hosting the event, and congratulations to everyone involved in organising such a successful afternoon.

A special shout-out to Tara from Oberon Fire and Rescue, who took part in our exercise circuit while fully geared up in her firefighting uniform! It certainly gave everyone an appreciation for the weight and demands of the equipment. Even our instructor, Jade, got a firsthand experience of just how heavy the full firefighting gear is!🧑‍🚒

💡TRAINER’S TIP TUESDAY💪

This week's Trainer’s Tip Tuesday is all about the Rowing Machine!

The rower is one of the best full-body cardio machines in the gym, but technique is everything. A strong stroke starts with your legs, then your core, and finishes with your arms. On the way back, reverse the order: arms, core, then legs.

💡 Trainers Tip: Don't rush! Focus on smooth, controlled strokes rather than trying to row as fast as possible. Good technique will help you generate more power, improve your fitness, and reduce your risk of injury.

Next time you're in the gym, give these tips a try—and if you'd like some help perfecting your technique, grab one of our trainers. We're always happy to help!
