Wear Orange Wednesday is a chance to recognise the incredible work of the SES and the countless hours our volunteers dedicate to supporting the local community.

Our Unit is proudly run entirely by volunteers, and we are so grateful for the time, dedication, and commitment each member gives.

We also want to acknowledge the families behind our members, whose ongoing support makes this commitment possible.

Our Unit thrives because of the people who give their time to help others, and today we celebrate every one of you. Thank you for everything you do! 🧡

On Friday our crew were called to assist with building damage from a vehicle that had driven into a home in Clyde North. Thankfully no one was injured and the home owner was not home at the time.

Our crew worked together to come up with the best plan to make the area safe and secure while also being aware of the hazards and compromised structural integrity of the building.

Each crew member worked calmly and seamlessly together to execute the plan and create the best outcome possible for the homeowner.

Well done team!

Sometimes just showing up is what matters the most.

Yesterday morning our crew responded to a call from a distressed older resident after heavy rainfall caused water to pour through their roof.

While there was only so much we could do at the time, the crew climbed up to inspect the roof tiles and check for possible points of water entry to help make things safe and provide some peace of mind.

Sometimes the job is not just about fixing the problem straight away. Rather, it is about being there, staying calm, and helping someone feel supported when things become overwhelming.

Today we pause and remember.

On this Anzac Day, our members stand in quiet reflection at both the Officer Anzac Day Dawn Service and Berwick Anzac Day March to honour the courage, sacrifice, and enduring spirit of mateship of our servicemen and women both past and present.

We remember their lasting legacy and acknowledge the freedoms they fought to protect. We stand beside their families and honour the sacrifices made for our country.
