The Canobolas Community Library has been helping the people of Orange and the surrounding region since 1990. This family community centre is situated in a peaceful setting with gum trees at the edge of town. We are totally not-for-profit and have created a community centre that is fun, interesting, helpful and relaxing. Providing a huge collection of family friendly, entertaining and helpful items
. Loaning out DVDs, books and CDs including popular and mainstream. The loan allowance is generous and every item is available for four weeks including DVDs. We now have the LARGEST collection of DVDs in the Orange/Bathurst Region. Categories include movies, music, comedy, true stories, large print, life skills and wellbeing, and a very large collection for children. There is something for everyone! "Storytime, Music and Craft" is held every Thursday from 10.30am to 11.30am including school holidays. This is for children of ALL ages and there is no cost and no need to book. "Connect Study & Fellowship" every Wednesday 10.30am to 12.30pm during school terms. Delicious morning tea provided. Children are welcome and transport can be organised. Plus you can borrow afterwards. A Justice of the Peace is available. Also a Registered Counsellor and former nurse is available for informal assistance @ no cost. Transportation can be provided for Orange residents with transport difficulties and a Home Library Service for those unable to visit due to
infirmity or extended illness. Our aim is to look after people really well with friendly customer service and genuine integrated care. This community centre is not funded by any organisation, business or government department. All our staff are volunteers and we rely totally on financial donations to continue this community work.
