Could you be one of us? Otford Rural Fire Brigade is running two membership information sessions on the evenings of 18 and 21 May for any Otford folk who might have wondered what it is like to be a member of our fire brigade and a member of the NSW Rural Fire Service. You can join us an be an operational member from 16 years of age.

🔥 Battle of the Brigades — what a day!

Otford RFS hit the ground running today, competing against local brigades from Illawarra & Sutherland across a range of drills. The standard was high, the rivalry was friendly, and the camaraderie was even better.

Proud of every member who took part today. This is what the RFS community is all about. 💪

🎄🚒 What a night at the Helensburgh Christmas Carols! 🎶✨

Wow! What an incredible evening at the Helensburgh Carols!
We had the absolute pleasure of bringing our fire truck along, and we were blown away by the response - hundreds of excited kids came through to explore the cabin, climb aboard, and experience what it's like to be a firefighter for the night!

Highlights:
👧👦 Hundreds of curious young visitors
🚒 Kids exploring every corner of the truck
📸 Countless smiles and photos
🎅 Amazing community spirit

Bushfires have shaped our community. No more so than the 2001 Christmas fire in 2508. But there have also been others. The stories of those who’ve lived through them are some of the most powerful lessons we can share.

We're inviting the community to hear these stories and ensure your plans are fit for purpose.
