06/06/2026
Sunday 31 May 2026 saw Otford Rural Fire Brigade hold its Annual General Meeting. Our AGMs are an opportunity for brigade members to nominate and vote for a range of brigade leadership positions. Our brigade also took the opportunity to mark 80 years of service to the Otford community, since our founding in 1946.
A number of brigade members were also presented with a range of significant awards recognising many years of service to the community, including:
- Brigade life membership awarded to Les, Kerrie, Ross, Ros and Gary.
- National Medal, which recognises long and diligent service by members of recognised government and voluntary organisations that risk their lives or safety to protect or assist the community in enforcement of the law or in times of emergency or natural disaster, being presented to Gary, Kevin, Les, Peter and Ross.
- Fourteen brigade members were also presented with NSW Premier's Flood Emergency Citation for response efforts during the major flood events between 2021 and 2023.
- Tania was presented with the Terry Rogers outstanding member of the year award for 2026
Congratulations to all members who received awards during this memorable AGM.
