Thank you, to our incredible P&C for hosting what has been the greatest community fundraising events I’ve been a part of! 😊

Fathers Day shenanigans where the whole intention was for our kids to see us as the fun and goofy dads we all love to be!
We had hungry caterpillar races, keepy uppy, flour races, tug of war (the kids won)…. Very, very fun!!!

Thank you to everyone that was able to make the event. We know all of our father figures were there in spirit joining us.

So many incredible local business chipped in to support our raffle. The early figures are suggesting this was a VERY successful event.

One of our favourite parts of Education Week was seeing our families fill these stars with all the reasons they’re proud of their children. ❤️

It was such a simple idea, but reading the kind words, encouragement and little moments that mean so much was pretty special.

Let’s keep it going!

We’ll start… We’re proud of our Otford students because they back themselves to have a go, even when something feels hard. They cheer each other on, include others without being asked, show genuine kindness, and never stop making us laugh. Watching them grow into confident, caring young people is something we’re incredibly proud to be a part of.

🎉 100 Days of Learning! 🎉

What a fantastic day our Kookaburras had celebrating 100 days of learning!

The day was filled with excitement, laughter and plenty of smiles as everyone arrived in their wonderful 100-year-old outfits. We wrote about what we'd like to be doing when we're 100 (eating ice cream was a popular choice!), shared 100 reasons we love our school, completed 100 star jumps, drew 100 favourite foods, and worked together on a nature scavenger hunt to collect 100 items.

We finished our celebrations with certificates and photos, reflecting on just how much our Kookaburras have grown this year.

We are so proud of all they have achieved over their first 100 days of learning. Here's to many more adventures together! Well done Kookaburras! 💙

We’re not saying Otford Public School is running away to join the circus… but we’ve definitely got a few recruits. 🎪😂

Juggling, balancing, spinning plates and trying not to drop everything five seconds later had everyone in stitches. Plenty of laughs, lots of persistence and a few surprisingly talented circus performers in the making!

Day 2 started bright and early… and very, very cold! 🥶

Today we joined the other small schools at the WILDarts Camp at Dubbo Zoo. After finding out our groups and learning about our totems (which has sparked some friendly competition already!), everyone jumped into their first activities. Some students headed off on a sketching safari, others got up close with reptiles and an adorable baby ringtail possum, some designed incredible animal masks, while others stepped behind the camera in a wildlife filmmaking workshop.

After a fun (and freezing!) night sleeping in tents at the zoo, we’re all feeling a little weary this morning. It turns out it’s pretty hard to get a good night’s sleep when the lions decide to roar for half the night! 🦁❄️ Despite the tired eyes, the excitement is still high, and we’re looking forward to another fantastic day of adventures.

After six hours on the bus, we were convinced we’d arrive to a group of exhausted kids… turns out we couldn’t have been more wrong! 😅

We couldn’t have asked for a better setting for our first night away from home. Fresh country air, marshmallows roasting over the campfire, plenty of laughs, and great mates to share it all with.

A pretty special way to kick off camp! 🔥🌿

What an incredible first full-day rehearsal for our Southern Stars Choir! 🌟

Our students brought so much energy, enthusiasm, positivity and patience to every song today. They embraced every moment, gave it their all and represented our school beautifully.
