Join the SES Ouyen Unit

The SES Ouyen Unit is recruiting! Volunteering with VICSES is a great way to get involved in your local community and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

Whether you want to be on the frontline or have an interest in community engagement or administration, we’ve got a role for you.

We are a junior accredited unit, which means we are equipped to support members aged 15 years and over.

If you're interested in joining our amazing team, visit www.ses.vic.gov.au/volunteer, call 1300VICSES (1300 842 737) or contact us directly via our page.

Each of our volunteers receives accredited, recognised training as part of their role, ranging from first aid, general rescue, chainsaw operations, community education, media training and much more.

At VICSES, we pride ourselves on being a part of our communities.
Research shows, those who have strong relationships within their communities and with their neighbours are more likely to help one another and have better outcomes when faced with emergencies.

That’s why VICSES is supporting Neighbour Day – an annual celebration of community with the aim of fostering strong personal connections that last the whole year-round.

By looking out for one another, we can continue to create safer communities - together.

Today we got out and about to see the rural towns of Murrayville and Ouyen. Gavin Quinn Community Resilience Coordinator and Local Controller of Murrayville Kevin Willersdorf were working with local media today.

This was to bring a better awareness in the local community, so community members had a stronger knowledge of the local unit either to volunteer their time or donate to a great community group
