Thanks to all for helping plant ten Richmond Birdwing Butterfly Vines throughout the shady bushland park areas. 🦋 We also planted some native groundcover plants. 🌱 This kicked off the Peaks to Points Festival which runs till the 9th of August. Check out their website for more local events.

Successful bushcare working bee last weekend, thanks to our band of volunteers! We checked on the seedlings we planted last year and removed the surrounding weeds to allow them space to grow. We have a budding entomologist among our volunteers, who identified lots of creatures temporarily disturbed by our activities. We found another patch of Singapore Daisy, which we cleared and will keep an eye on. Come join us next time on Sunday 28th June. 😊 🌱

We came out in force this morning with more new faces and removed many weeds along the bushwalk, including the Easter Cassia. They were a bit harder to spot as yesterday’s rain had knocked a lot of the flowers off, but we saw that the leaves are also turning yellow now. We managed to tuck into the delicious home baked morning tea, before it began to rain again! Join us next month on Sun 24th May.
