When a government is corrupt and an opposition is ineffectual, our democracy is at risk. The New Liberals is a party of ‘non-politicians’, who would never have entered politics if they hadn’t wept to see our democracy becoming a new Argentina. We represent the vast majority of Australians, the forgotten people, who don’t want the planet polluted, who don’t want the multinationals to get away with
paying no tax, who don’t want intimidation of journalists, secret trials, and people who have committed no crimes being locked up for the rest of their lives. We represent the ordinary citizen who can’t understand why our precious water is being sold off to foreign interests, only to be sold back to desperate farmers at twice the price. We represent those who are sick of government corruption and secret deals, and the game of mates. All sides of politics are involved, and they need to be dealt with as the criminals they are. When in government, we will establish a federal Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), with full powers to investigate, prosecute and jail politicians and public officials who are corrupt or who abuse their power. We will leave it to you to guess how many members of the current government will face trial and imprisonment.
