🚢 Palm Island Ferry Update – Sunday Service Changes

Hi everyone, just a quick update for our community regarding the ferry schedule this weekend.

We’re aware that today’s (Saturday) service experienced a 1-hour delay, and we appreciate everyone’s patience while that was managed.

There have also been changes to tomorrow’s (Sunday) ferry schedule due to low tide conditions:
👉 Depart Townsville: 2:00pm (2-hour delay)👉 Depart Palm Island: 4:15pm

SeaLink has advised that these changes were necessary for safety due to tide conditions, and updates have been shared via their website, socials, and local SMS notifications.

We understand how important the ferry service is for travel, appointments, and family connections, and we appreciate everyone’s understanding with these unavoidable changes.

If you’re travelling tomorrow, please plan accordingly.

Thanks everyone for your patience and cooperation. 🙏

We appreciate this notice should’ve gone out earlier — thanks for your patience.

Please take care around the airport road, keep an eye on kids and give the trucks plenty of space.

🙏 Stay safe everyone and look out for each other.
