The Palmwoods facility has heated pools all year round. We run Learn To Swim for all age groups. You'll see that there is something for everyone at our centre!

Situated in the famous Hinterland town of Palmwoods, the Palmwoods Aquatic Centre offers heated pools all year round. We run classes for all age groups starting from babies to adults. If you are looking to improve your fitness, check out our Adult Fitness Squad or Aqua Aerobics classes. Whether you want to relax, increase your fitness or have fun with your family, our centre offers various activit

ies. You can choose from our range of programs and activities, including our highly successful Learn to Swim program.

This year’s theme, Colours of Courage, reminds us that bravery isn't always loud. It’s found in the everyday choices to live proudly, stand beside a friend, and invite others into understanding and acceptance.

At BlueFit, our purpose is Inspiring Community Activity, and that starts with building spaces where absolutely everyone feels safe to participate and play.

🏊 WORLD DROWNING PREVENTION DAY 2026 🏊

Drowning is an issue that affects every nation of the world. Globally, more than 300,000 people lose their lives to drowning every year. Drowning predominately impacts children and young people, and in Australia, hundreds of families lose loved ones to drowning every year.

Because drowning predominantly impacts children and young people, At BlueFit we are taking this opportunity to remind families of our supervision policies, which are in place to help keep our community safe in and around the water.

What you need to know:
👶 Children aged 0–5 and all non swimmers: Must be within arm’s reach of a parent or guardian at all times. This means the adult must be actively in the water with the child.
🧍‍♀️ Children aged 6–10: Must be closely and actively supervised. Maintain constant visual contact and be ready to enter the water.
⛔️ Minimise distractions: Put away mobile phones, avoid lengthy conversations, and stay clear of any distractions that can cause a fatal lapse in attention.

Every small step we individually take can help save lives.

💙 You can also join the global movement to promote water safety by Going Blue! On the 25th of July, we encourage our community to show their support by wearing blue to the pool, whether it is a blue swimsuit, blue swim cap, or simply bringing a blue towel.

12:00PM, Saturday 25 July to 12:00PM, Monday 27 July.

🏊‍♂️ LEARN TO SWIM
Learn to Swim and Aqua Classes are cancelled during this time, affected families will be automatically credited. LTS Classes will proceed as scheduled from 3:30PM, Monday 27 July. Aqua Classes will resume Tuesday, 28 July.

🚨 Please be advised that Learn To Swim classes will proceed as scheduled on the morning of Saturday, 25 July.

Exciting news at Palmwoods Aquatic Centre! 🥳

If you've visited us recently, you might have noticed that our bathroom renovations have officially begun! We are working very closely with our council contractors to ensure everything goes as smoothly as possible, with the absolute least amount of inconvenience to you.

The completed bathrooms are going to look amazing! We can't wait to share the final result with you! Thank you for your patience and support while we upgrade. 🙌

The team at Palmwoods Aquatic Centre was thrilled to be invited to the Under 8’s morning at Palmwoods State School.

We loved seeing the students engage with all the wonderful exhibits and having the chance to chat about water safety and swim lessons.
