This is what collaboration is all about! 🙌 For their 3rd time this year, school captains from across the region connected for the ENABLE Student Leadership Series. This time, held at The University of Queensland, students participated in UQ Ventures' entrepreneurship and innovation programs.

Student excitedly experienced university life and a campus tour. 📒 We thank the University of Queensland Deputy Vice-Chancellor Kris Ryan, UQ Ventures, and UQ staff for their time and wisdom for an incredibly valuable excursion! ⭐️✨

WEEK 8 - Respecting other people’s boundaries means listening when they say no, giving them space and accepting their choices. We don’t argue, pressure, tease or continue when someone has asked us to stop. You don’t have to understand or agree with someone’s boundary. You just need to respect their right to have it. Respecting other people’s boundaries helps people feel safe, valued and respected, builds trust, supports healthy friendships and helps create a caring community where everyone feels comfortable being themselves.

Students and staff have been emailed instructions on how to vote for: Best Dressed Individual 🧍🏻‍♀️, Best Dressed Duo 👯‍♀️, Best Dressed Group 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒, and Best Dressed Staff 🍎.

Voting closes Monday at 4pm and winners will be announced early next week! 👀

Today our school community came together to celebrate the incredible collective achievement: Secondary School of the Year – Government from the Australian Education Awards! 🎉

In the words of Executive Principal Miss Amos, "This national recognition belongs to all of us. We can continue to reimagine what education can look like for our young people."

Miss Amos said she would like to "thank every student for investing in us as a school - for showing up, for trying, for being kind and passionate young community people." ☺️

Thank you to our student helpers and staff for running the celebration BBQ for just about 2000 students! 💥🌭 (11 minutes in and most the school was done! 🤯)

Our Year 12 Hospitality students put their skills to the test with a special Mocktail Event for our teachers! 🍹✨
As part of their assessment, students planned and delivered a special event featuring delicious canapés and creative mocktails, showcasing their hospitality, and customer service.

A wonderful way for our students to demonstrate their skills while treating our hardworking staff to some well-deserved refreshments! 👏💛
