🚀 Great news for job seekers!

More than 570 new apprentice, trainee and cadet positions are set to be funded through the Fresh Start Program, helping councils build the skilled workforce they need for the future.

Since launching in 2024, the program has already helped place 1,100+ recruits in councils across the state, supporting essential services and creating meaningful career pathways for young people.

From engineering and town planning to horticulture and mechanics, Fresh Start is helping fill critical skills gaps while creating opportunities close to home, especially in regional and rural communities.

📅 Councils are invited to apply for funding now: https://ow.ly/xGf250ZKt7q

Two new parks are coming to Kellyville and Bella Vista!

♻️⚡ A closed landfill site on Sydney’s Northern Beaches is getting a new life as part of NSW’s clean energy future.

The Belrose Waste Management Centre will be transformed into a battery energy storage hub through a $20 million private investment, helping store renewable energy and power up to 1,500 Sydney homes.

Once used to generate electricity from landfill gas, the site will now support a state-of-the-art battery system, creating local jobs, attracting investment and helping build a more reliable energy network for NSW.

🌏⚡ Transforming former landfill into infrastructure that supports cleaner energy is another step towards a more sustainable future for NSW.
