We monitor our accounts 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). If you’re trying to reach us on social media outside of these hours, please find other ways to contact us - https://www.hume.vic.gov.au/Your-Council/Contact-Us

Community Guidelines
We want our social media spaces to be a respectful and safe plac

e for our community to share their thoughts, and we also want them to be engaging and useful too. We encourage you to:
- engage, share and comment
- stay on topic (please read the relevant material before joining the conversation)
- remember that comments are public and can be searched by other users
- treat others with respect. Moderation
In the interests of maintaining an open conversation, we would prefer not to delete comments. However, we may delete comments if they are:
- offensive
- not suited for an audience of all ages
- inciting violence
- of a sexual nature
- irrelevant or repetitive
- false or misleading
- harmful to people or organisations
- spam – this includes advertising, petitions, endorsements, requests, or commercial promotion
- infringing on copyright, or breach the intellectual property rights of others
- unlawful, or encourages others to break the law
- files or links to malicious software, content, or websites
- confidentiality breaches
- compromise the safety or security of someone or something
- invade an individual’s privacy or identify people in a defamatory, abusive or negative manner. Third party content
Considering the High Court defamation decision in September 2021, the Council may, from time to time, remove third party content. Hume City Council could be held liable for any comments made by third parties on any of our social media accounts. Help Keep our Pool Healthy for Everyone! 💙

Thank you for doing your part to keep our pools safe, clean and enjoyable for all.

Please continue to shower before entering the pools, washing your hands with warm soapy water after using the toilet, and avoid swallowing pool water.

If you or your child have had diarrhoea in the last 14 days, please wait before returning to the pool. This ensures the safety of other patrons, and keeps germs out of the waters.

Please utilise the free aqua nappies available at reception for children.

We're one of the few reformer studios in Hume - and we're open to all levels from total beginners to seasoned Pilates goers.

🌟 From Student to Swim Teacher: Firdawce's Inspiring Journey 🌟

Three years ago, Firdawce walked through the doors of Broadmeadows Leisure Centre and joined our Women's Only Swim Class. Having never been in a swimming pool before, taking that first step into the water was a huge achievement.

With the guidance and encouragement of swim teacher Sofie, Firdawce began building her confidence and developing her swimming skills. As her abilities grew, so did her ambition, setting a goal that many would have thought impossible. “To become a swim teacher”.

Committed to lessons for the next 2 years, working tirelessly to improve, and embraced every opportunity to learn. Her dedication paid off when she completed her swim teacher training, gained valuable pool experience, and successfully achieved her swim teacher licence.

Today, Firdawce is a valued member of the Hume Swim School team, inspiring others with the same enthusiasm and encouragement that once helped her on her own journey.

One of the most special moments? Seeing Firdawce teaching the very Women's Only Swim Class where she first learned to swim. When Sofie is away, Firdawce proudly steps in to lead the class, coming full circle from student to teacher.

👏 Firdawce's story is a powerful reminder of what can be achieved through determination, perseverance, and the support of a welcoming community. We are incredibly proud of everything she has accomplished and the positive impact she continues to have on others.

Disability Sports Australia, in partnership with Hume City Council, is proud to present the Hume Abilities Unleashed Kids and Adults Event at Craigieburn Sports Stadium.

This free community event gives children and adults with disabilities the opportunity to try a range of sports and active recreation activities in a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment.
