The Peak Hill Leisure Arts and Craft has been operating for over 40 years. Currently the main craft groups are patchwork, art, folk art, card making, knitting and glass slumping. There are facilities for other groups to form which include pottery, spinning, jewellery, china painting or any other art or craft if enough people are interested. If you are interested in learning or teaching any of thes

e arts and crafts please contact us. Our arts and crafts are displayed on the June Long weekend in the Leisure Centre and many of our members enter items in the local show which is held in August each year.

The Leisure Centre’s beautiful raffle contains hand-made gifts, made by members. The patchwork quilt was put together by members with fabrics donated by Colleen Flynn and quilted by John. The opening of the Arts & Crafts Exhibition is on this Friday 5 June from 6pm at the Peak Hill Leisure Centre. The fires will be lit, Can Assist will provide lovely finger food, Parkes Community Choir will be in fine voice and our guest speaker is Dianne Hutchins. $5 entry to Can Assist. Looking forward to a wonderful opening night 😊

Judy Howe has been turning fleeces into beautiful hand-knitted garments for many years. She will be demonstrating her skills for the Peak Hill Arts & Crafts Exhibition on 6-7 June at the Leisure Centre venue. Judy was spinning at the Trundle Back in Time festival. Come and watch Judy spin, talk to her about different fibres.
