Write a Book in a Day 2026 was a great success! Our teams worked hard to plan, write, edit and illustrate an entire novel in just 12 hours.

This fundraiser supports children’s cancer research, and we are proud to announce that as of today, students have raised just under $5000!

It’s not too late to make a donation, help us match last year’s total of $5000 by clicking on one of the links below!

🚶‍♀️💜 This Sunday 13 September, Melrose High School staff will be walking for hope.

We’re taking part in the Karinya House Walk for Hope to support women who are pregnant or parenting while experiencing domestic violence and disadvantage in the ACT.

From 1–6 September, every donation is being DOUBLED (up to $17,000) thanks to local businesses DOMA, North Belconnen Community Association and Parbery.

All funds go directly to Karinya House’s 24/7 safe accommodation and wraparound support for women and their babies/children – including health care, parenting advice, financial help, baby goods, food and more.

Our Year 9/10 Photography students got creative with colour, movement and texture during an Ink in Water photography practical! Students experimented with dropping ink into water and capturing the swirling, abstract shapes as they developed.

It was a great opportunity for students to practise their camera skills while exploring how timing, composition and colour can create striking photographic images. 📷

The Future Doctors Australia Program offers Year 9–12 students four immersive days of medical career exploration during school holidays:
8–11 Oct 2026 in Sydney (Chatswood).

Students take part in hands-on clinical activities, practise healthcare communication, meet doctors and medical students, and hear firsthand about their specialties and professional journeys. Students will also receive an introduction to medical admission pathways, the UCAT and interviews - helping them understand both the rewards and requirements of pursuing medicine.

Future Doctors Australia is an engaging, high-impact program giving young people a unique opportunity to explore and experience medicine as a career option.
