In joining our community on Facebook, Pelican Flat Public School follows both the DEC Code of Conduct and Facebook terms and conditions. Students
Under the Facebook terms and conditions children under the age of 13 years are not permitted to hold a Facebook account therefore if
any students ‘like’ or comment on the Pelican Flat Public School page comments will be deleted immediately. Comments Policy
Pelican Flat Public School encourages comments from Facebook users but takes no responsibility for comments made on the page. Pelican Flat Public School reserves the right, but assume no obligation, to remove comments that are:
- Offensive, abusive, profane, hateful or racist
- Links or images
- Threatening or defaming any person or organisation
- The direct, full name or descriptive reference to an individual, irrespective of the post’s tone
- Solicitations and advertisements by other organisations or endorsements by other organisations or endorsements of other organisations
- Multiple or repetitive posts by a single or multiple users
- Anything else that the school deems inappropriate and does not align with our values, standards, policies and guidelines. Pelican Flat Public School encourages all Facebook users to utilise the ‘report’ link if they see abusive content.
