What a great day! Thanks to everyone who stopped by our stand at Penrith City Council's fantastic annual Penrith Show on the weekend.

We chatted all things Bradfield City and the Western Sydney Aerotropolis, welcoming your ideas for naming Central Park, roads and places in Bradfield City. These names will help shape the identity of the city as it grows into a place where future generations will live, work, study and play.

Why will Central Park have a First Nations name?

A First Nations name for Bradfield City’s Central Park will showcase its deep connection to Country and role as a welcoming gathering place in Bradfield City.

We are currently seeking public input into choosing a First Nations name in a local Aboriginal language for the 2-hectare park in the heart of Bradfield City, that will begin construction later this year.

Western Sydney International Airport is on the cusp of opening to passengers, and it was great to chat to locals with growing excitement at the Community Aviation Consultation Group on Friday.

Following tours of the terminal, we spoke with visitors about the role of Bradfield City, just minutes down the road or on the metro from the airport. Bradfield City will be the first port of call for so many future visitors to Western Sydney, as well as delivering 10,000 homes and 20,000 jobs for the region as a thriving city.

Due to expected wet weather and low cloud conditions tomorrow night, the Bradfield City Under the Stars stargazing event has been postponed.

Guest experience and safety is always our priority. Low cloud conditions mean that it is unlikely that the night sky will be visible tomorrow evening. We understand this will be disappointing for guests who were looking forward to an evening of stargazing and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

The event will be rescheduled, and registered guests will be notified when the new date is confirmed.

We hope to welcome you under the stars at Bradfield City soon.

The start of construction on Bradfield City’s Second Building marks a major step forward in the city’s delivery and the continued growth of the Advanced Manufacturing Readiness Facility (AMRF) ecosystem.

With ground now broken, the Second Building will begin to take shape beside the First Building, expanding the foundations of Bradfield City’s advanced manufacturing and innovation precinct.

Another major milestone for Bradfield City with construction officially beginning on the state-of-the-art Second Building.

This morning, the Deputy Premier and Minister for Western Sydney, the Hon Prue Car MP, and the Minister for Planning and Public Spaces, the Hon Paul Scully MP, joined BDA, AMRF and project partners on site to turn the first sod and mark the start of construction.

Being delivered by Hansen Yuncken as Head Contractor for this next delivery phase, the Second Building is dedicated to building sovereign manufacturing capability, attracting advanced industries and creating high-value jobs in Western Sydney.

It will house Australia’s first Semiconductor Advanced Packaging Facility, a second AMRF manufacturing hall, and commercial spaces for advanced industry businesses to locate in Australia’s first new city in 100 years.

This is Bradfield City’s delivery momentum in action, creating new opportunities for innovation, investment, jobs, skills and industry growth in Western Sydney.
