What a fantastic turnout for this month's Coffee Catch Up! As always, thank you to Penrith RSL and Catering HQ for hosting us.
A big thank you to Western Sydney Business Centre for their ongoing support and sponsorship of our networking events up until this point. Their contribution has helped make these gatherings such a valuable opportunity for our local business community. Moving forward, we'll be introducing a different local business sponsor each month, giving even more businesses the chance to get involved and showcase their support.
Thank you to Barclay Judge from Judge Accountants for providing an insightful overview of the Federal Budget and what the latest changes mean for small business, taxation and property owners.
We also heard from Mike Hicks, General Manager of Outback Steakhouse Australia and President of the PCYC Penrith Committee, who shared how local businesses and individuals can support the incredible work of PCYC through their Ambassadors Club.
A special thank you to Jacinta Watkins and ALA Law for generously providing two raffle prizes for our attendees this morning.
There was plenty happening around the room, with discussions covering:
✅ Free workshops available to PCBDC members and local business owners: https://penrithcbdcorp.com.au/events/
✅ The Bad Jumpers for a Good Cause fundraiser supporting Penrith Community Kitchen
✅ Nikki from TOTS Blanket Challenge are still accepting knitted squares to make more beautiful blankets!
✅ The Western Weekender collaboration with PCBDC to launch the Panthers Pride initiative, encouraging local shops and businesses to decorate their premises and show their support for the Panthers. There will be prizes to win every fortnight, while two lucky people will score tickets to the Grand Final!
✅We also are starting Pink Up Penrith early by launching a movie night for the Devil Wears Prada 2 thanks to Hoyts Australia Penrith and Westfield Penrith - if you want to book tickets, simply email: [email protected]
