Shire of Perenjori The inland centre of mining, industry and agricultural development in the Mid-West We have a reputation for innovation and resilience.

The shire consists of approximately 904 people, and is in a great location, being only 200km South East of Geraldton, and 350km North East of Perth. The Shire of Perenjori is one of the largest agricultural shires in WA, with a combination of farming, pastoral and mining leases. Set in wide open spaces and renowned wildflower country, Perenjori and the Midwest abounds with opportunities. Having ov

ercome drought and the title of the fastest shrinking town in Australia in 2006, Perenjori has seen population growth at well above the state average, due to the diversification of our economy. The Shire has a number of mines within 80km of the main Perenjori town site. These provide a host of opportunities for residents and the Shire has negotiated with the mines to source as many local contractors as possible. Significant resources have been expended to support mining projects alongside the development of tourism and our traditional industry of agriculture. This has been achieved by the Shire and the community developing plans and initiatives together to reach those aspirations. The lifestyle here boasts safe, stress free living in a friendly community. The locals are a friendly bunch and are happy to help.
