The annual rates notice and general budget information has been hitting letterboxes over the past few days. ✉️

Some of the major spends over the next 12 months include:

•$11.7 million to continue new and upgraded sporting facilities at Gwynne Park, Morgan Park and the
Forrestdale Sporting Precinct;
• $11.4 million for Central Park, creating a major public space adjoining the new Armadale Train Station;
• $15.3 million for road works
• $1 million for Piara Waters Netball Facility, including change rooms, lighting and courts, fully
progressing the Piara Waters West Playing Field, Hilbert District Community Centre and Library, and
Anstey Keane sporting precinct
• $450,000 for future facility planning, including the Environment Centre business case, Roleybushcare
accommodation options and concept design for the Armadale Tennis Club.

Lastly, the YouTube video, while slightly old, shows a bit about what Armadale has to offer business and economic wise. It also(I think) gives a good overview of what has been going on in the Armadale area recently, and provides a good perspective on our different areas within the city. It can be hard to get to know our city well and know whats going on when it is so large!

Last weekend saw the last games played for the home and away season for the footy season. 🏉 I popped up to Roleystone Senior Football Club 🟨⬛️ to watch their last games, and it was great to see such strong community spirit and passion at the club.

The Roleystone Colts continue their season, heading into the finals in the EGT Brett Jones grade.

Other clubs across the City of Armadale include:
Kelmscott Bulldogs Football Club Inc. Intergrated A side, the Armadale Senior Football Club E1S grade, and Piara Waters Senior Football Club C2 League, C2 Reserves, E2S Thirds & Laurie Keane Colts all in the finals.

Looks like things are coming along nicely for the Last Slice building in Kelmscott. 👌
It appears they are also advertising for jobs! Another reason to get excited - employing people and creating a more vibrant economy for our growing city.
