🏈Two local AFL stars, Angela Carbery and Angela McSwain, are kicking goals on the national stage, and we’re proud to support them on their AFL Masters journey! 👏

AFL stars kicking goals 🏈🌟

Two of our local AFL stars - Angela Carbery and Angela McSwain - have been selected to represent their team at the upcoming AFL Masters National Carnival in Newcastle.

The carnival brings players and teams from every state and territory to participate in a week of competitive football and camaraderie 👏

We are proudly supporting them through our Sporting Donation Grant, helping our local sporting heroes to achieve their goals.

Angela M said "Being able to go and represent WA is a huge honour; competing at a national level and meeting with other people who also love the sport."

Great to see our local residents achieving their sporting dreams and representing our community with such pride.

We're surrounded by locals who not only achieve great things in their chosen sport, but also give back to help others succeed ❤️

Judo has been a part of Jonathan Richetti’s life for more than 20 years.

A dedicated referee, athlete and mentor, he recently returned to the competition mat for the first time in over a decade to compete at the 2026 Australian National Judo Championships 🥋

Jonathan’s hard work paid off with a gold medal in the Veterans Under-100kg division, but his achievements don’t stop there! 🏆

As an accredited National referee, Jonathan also officiates across competitions and refereed other divisions. It's a position he's worked towards since moving to Australia in 2019 and transferring his state licence.

‘Refereeing is my way of giving back to the judo community that has shaped more than two decades of my life.’

‘For me, every competition I officiate is a chance to support the next generation of athletes and return to the community what it has so generously given me.’

With international refereeing accreditation in his sights (and a gold medal in hand), congratulations to Jonathan and thank you for all you bring to our community! 👏
