Researchers at Curtin University and the University of Western Sydney are conducting a project investigating the housing applications of Australia aged 55 years and over.

They are inviting participants from Western Australia, New South Wales and Queensland to participate in a 1-hour interview to understand
• Your current housing scenario
• The housing that you aspire to live in, that is the housing you would like to achieve in the future and why this is the case
• The factors which will support you and those which might make it more difficult to achieve this outcome

Tomorrow is international Day of Families

Life gets busy, and sometimes the important conversation with family are the easiest to put off.

Support often starts with listening, understanding, and being there for one another. We recognise the important role families play in supporting one another through all stages of life. Sometimes, meaningful support starts with a simple conversation.

Take time to check in with loved ones, stay connected, and start the conversations that matter about wellbeing, ageing, future planning, and support.

Have you ever found it difficult to start conversations with your family about ageing, future planning, independence, or later-life decisions?

COTA WA is fundraising to support the production, printing and free community distribution of a practical guide, 'Navigating Difficult Conversations', designed to help older Western Australians and their families navigate important life conversations with greater confidence and support.

Every contribution helps us make trusted information more accessible to the community.

Meet Frank, one of our Strength for Life participants who’s been with us for 10 years.

Frank built a routine of two classes a week after realising that walking alone wasn’t enough. With the support of our physios, he’s stayed consistent and committed.

Strength for Life has benefited Frank not only physically, but mentally too. We’re so proud of his journey
