Not sure what makes a good mosquito repellent?

Not all mosquito repellents are created equal. DEET and Picardin are the most effective ingredients for repelling mosquitoes that can transmit diseases like Ross River Virus and Barmah Forest Virus.

To get the most protection from mosquito repellent, apply it evenly to exposed skin and clothing. Be sure to reapply repellent every few hours, especially after swimming or sweating.

🌱Many of us love spending time outdoors in the garden. But beware - mosquitoes just adore snacking on exposed gardeners too.

Don't become a tasty target! To stay safe in the garden, be sure to cover up with loose, long sleeves and pants. Also, spray on a good repellent potion before you begin your botanical blessings. With a little protective preparation, you can garden bite-free this season!

Your local government teams are doing their part to manage mosquito populations across the South West by trapping, testing and treating breeding areas. Still, mosquitoes will always be part of our ecosystem.

You need to do your part by covering up with long, loose-fitting clothing and applying a suitable repellent when outdoors.
