The Kimberley Floods, a 1-in-100 year event, resulted in the worst recorded flooding in Western Australia's history, with the Fitzroy River experiencing the fastest flow rate of any river in Australia and its territories.
In response, the Kimberley Floods Appeal, managed by the LMDRF, was launched on 30 November 2023, raising an impressive $12.02 million.
To date, $7.3 million of these funds have been distributed across the affected areas, providing crucial support to more than 200 individuals.
