Severe weather warning this long weekend ⚠️
Several key sites in the South West are expected to close over the long weekend, including the Giants Cave, Dave Evans Bicentennial Tree, Tree Top Walk, and a number of campgrounds and access roads.
Parks, trails, attractions and campgrounds in the Midwest, South West and Perth metropolitan area and down to the south coast may close at short notice due to extreme weather or safety concerns.
If you’re heading to WA’s south-western coastline this long weekend, please take extra care and stay informed.

For the latest updates on park, campground and trail closures, check Park Alerts https://alerts.dbca.wa.gov.au
🌊 Dangerous coastal conditions are expected, including large swells and tidal surges that can quickly inundate beaches and low-lying areas and rock platforms.
💨 Very strong winds may bring down trees and branches, making walking tracks and campgrounds hazardous.
🌧️ Heavy rainfall could lead to flash flooding, especially in gorges, river crossings and low-lying areas.
Your safety is your responsibility – if conditions look unsafe, be prepared to change your plans or reconsider your visit.
