The dashboard will help Western Australians stay informed about where detections have occurred, and where surveillance and testing are taking place.

Starting today, fishing restrictions are in place to protect our local lakes and wetlands and the native wildlife they support.

The changes follow community consultation and ongoing reports of discarded fishing lines, hooks and harm to animals. Fishing is now prohibited at 17 locations across the City. It remains permitted along most of the City's 7km of coastline.

Fishing in these locations can be reported to the City by calling the Community Safety team on (08) 9205 8555.

Suspected animal cruelty should be reported to the RSPCA WA Cruelty Hotline on 1300 278 358.

H5 avian influenza (bird flu) has been confirmed in a migratory seabird found on an isolated beach in southern Western Australia. This is the first detection of H5 bird flu in Australia.

There have been no detections in poultry or additional native species.

Australia is well prepared to respond to H5 bird flu.

You can help. If you find multiple sick or dead birds or other animals do not touch them.

Please note this warning is now a Bushfire Advice - Monitor Conditions due to a reduction in fire activity. Please note updates throughout.

⚠️ A Bushfire Advice is in place for people in an area bounded by Herdsman Lake, Selby Street North, Walters Drive, Herdsman Parade and Moondine Drive in GLENDALOUGH, OSBORNE PARK and WEMBLEY in the TOWN OF CAMBRIDGE and CITY OF STIRLING.

⚠ There is no threat to lives or homes.

⚠ There is a lot of smoke in the area.

❗ WHAT TO DO ❗

- Stay alert and monitor your surroundings.
- Avoid walk trails in the warning area.
- Read through your plan and decide what you will do if the situation gets worse. If you do not have a plan, make one now on Emergency WA emergency.wa.gov.au/plan, or in the Emergency WA app.
- Watch for signs of a bushfire, especially smoke and flames.
- Close all doors and windows, and turn off evaporative air conditioners but keep water running through the system if possible.
- If you have a respiratory condition and you have been affected by smoke you should contact your local doctor or call 1800MEDICARE (1800 633 422).

If driving:
- Turn your headlights on and drive slowly.
- Watch for emergency services personnel and follow their directions.
- If you cannot see clearly, pull over, keep your headlights and hazard lights on, and wait until the smoke clears.

🔥 BUSHFIRE BEHAVIOUR 🔥

- The fire is burning in inaccessible bushland.
- The bushfire is moving in an easterly direction.
- It is contained but not controlled.
- Currently there has been 19.5 hectares burnt.

🚧 ROAD CLOSURES AND CONDITIONS 🚧

Roads have not been closed.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area, reduce speed and drive carefully. Road information may also be available from Main Roads WA by visiting the Main Roads Travel Map, calling 138 138 or by contacting your Local Government Authority.

🚨 WHAT FIREFIGHTERS ARE DOING 🚨

- Firefighters are on the scene.
- Aerial support has been sent to assist ground crews.

🚁 DRONES AND AERIAL SUPPORT 🚁

Never fly a drone, model aircraft or multirotor near bushfires. Doing so poses a major safety risk to firefighting personnel in the air and on the ground, and forces aircraft to be grounded or redirected, hindering firefighting efforts.
