Last week marked the end of our Year 12s formal high school education.

The week involved many activities, including anything but a bag day, costume day and the farewell BBQ brekky and assembly. It was a vibrant display of originality, fictional characters, and a chance to make lasting memories and have fun with friends before the exams begin.

Specifically impacting Churchlands Senior High School;

Route 998 and 999
· Will be withdrawn and replaced with new Route 996
New Route 996
· Will operate between Fremantle Station and Stirling Station via Claremont Station, the University of WA, QEII Medical Centre and Shenton Park Station.

Deluxe Dessert Innovation Challenge

Last term in HASS, Mr Fortini’s two Year 7 classes were studying Economics and Business.

On the last day of the Term, students put their entrepreneurial knowledge and skills to the test in the Deluxe Dessert Innovation Challenge. Working in teams, they were to create a sweet treat with a premium twist.

Year 11 Modern History Visit to the Holocaust Institute of WA

Our two Year 11 Modern History classes visited the Holocaust Institute of WA in Yokine as part of their Unit 2 study of the Rise of Na**sm.

The visit was a highly moving and thought-provoking experience for all students. Through an immersive walk through of the museum, students encountered photographs, videos, survivor testimonies, personal stories and artefacts, with exhibits carefully designed to create the sense that visitors were witnessing the events unfolding in Germany during the years of N**i rule.

For many students, the experience brought a new and deeply personal dimension to the history they have been studying in the classroom.

The students returned to school with a deeper understanding of the significance of the Holocaust and a strong appreciation of why these stories must continue to be remembered and shared. For our Year 11 historians, it was an important reminder of the responsibility that comes with studying the past; to remember, to question, and to learn from history.

From Term 4: smart glasses are not allowed at school.

Smart glasses are banned from school and from events run by our school.

This rule is for everyone.

Smart glasses are eyewear that have built-in cameras, voice recorders, or computer screens inside them.

Smart glasses can take photos and videos without anyone knowing. We want everyone to feel safe at school. This rule will help us with safety and privacy for everyone.

Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our school safe.
