🚔 Today, we acknowledge and celebrate the outstanding contribution of Western Australia’s Police Auxiliary Officers.
Police Auxiliary Officers play a critical role in supporting frontline policing every day. Whether managing prisoners, undertaking essential custody functions, assisting with court security, or helping keep our communities safe, their professionalism and dedication are an integral part of modern policing.
As the demands on policing continue to grow, PAOs provide invaluable support that allows sworn officers to focus on frontline operational duties. While much of their work occurs behind the scenes, the impact they have is felt across the entire agency and throughout the community.
WAPU recognises the commitment, resilience and professionalism of all Police Auxiliary Officers. Thank you for the important work you do and for your ongoing service to the people of Western Australia.
👏 Your contribution matters, and today we proudly celebrate you.

Today, members of the WA Police Union are proud to be at East Fremantle Oval for the BRAVO Memorial Round, honouring the memory of Anthony Woods.

The Ode will be recited at 2:00pm, with the main game commencing at 2:20pm.

This round is an important opportunity to remember a fallen colleague, support his family, and recognise the strength of the police family that stands together through both good times and difficult ones.

If you're at the game, come and say hello, and stay on to support the boys on the field.

Yesterday, on Thank a First Responder Day, the WA Police Union was proud to attend community event celebrating the dedication and sacrifice of first responders across Perth. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with emergency service personnel who came together to show their appreciation for those who answer the call when others need help most.

Every day, police officers, paramedics, firefighters, SES volunteers, and countless other first responders put service before self. Their commitment often means missing family milestones, working long hours, and facing challenging situations to keep our communities safe.

Thank you for hosting such a meaningful event and for the incredible support you provide to first responder families and wellbeing.

Our communities are stronger because of those who serve.
