Ever wondered why Early Childhood Educators are obsessed with playdough?

Well, not only is it easy to make and lots of fun to play with but it also enables children to strengthen the small muscles in their hands and fingers, helping to build the fine motor skills needed to hold a pencil later on at school. Playdough also encourages creativity and by using natural materials like leaves and shells or operating tools like rolling pins and cutters children can create anything they can imagine!
