Morning tea looks different for patients at Osborne Park Hospital. 🫖🍵

The new range of options is the result of a collaborative project between catering, dietetics, speech pathology, allied health and teams on the wards.

After months of planning, testing and consultation the menu options have enhanced the patient experience.

While morning tea snacks make up only a small part of a patient's overall dietary intake, every option is aligned with nutritional standards while supporting patient wellbeing and satisfaction.

The new snacks have already received enthusiastic feedback from patients and staff. 👏

Congratulations to Registered Nurse Alyssa, who was awarded the latest Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital Employee of the Season Award.👏
Alyssa was nominated for her exceptional professionalism and compassionate care in the neurological ward.

She demonstrates exceptional grace with her patients and colleagues and has a unique ability to connect and foster trust with all those around her.

Congratulations to 18 midwives and six nurses who officially graduated from their year-long Newly Qualified Midwife and Nurse Programs with the Women and Newborn Health Service. 👏

The group commenced their graduate year at King Edward Memorial and Osborne Park Hospital's in August last year and have gained experience in various clinical areas throughout the health service.

We wish everyone the best of luck in their careers with us! ⭐

Some of our team members dressed in purple today to show their support of LGBTQIA+ youth as part of Wear It Purple Day 💜

The national movement focuses on the issues faced by LGBTQIA+ youth and encourages the community to show support and advocate for their right to be proudly who they are.

By wearing purple, Australians demonstrate to young people that that they are seen, valued and supported.

Fifty years of making a difference with the School Dental Service 🦷🎉

For half a century, our School Dental Service has been helping children and young people across Western Australia build healthy oral health habits that can last a lifetime.

Since its beginnings in the 1970s, the service has supported generations of WA families through preventive care, education and access to public dental services, helping countless children smile with confidence.

To mark this significant milestone, past and present team members and special guests came together today to celebrate 50 years of care, connection and community.

A big thank you to our dedicated dental professionals, support staff and educators who have contributed to the School Dental Service's legacy over the past five decades. Your commitment has helped create healthier futures for generations of Western Australians.

A proud moment for our newest mental health nursing graduates ⭐🎓

More than 30 registered and enrolled nurses have completed the Transition to Practice Program, marking an important milestone in their professional journey.

Over the past 12 months, they have developed new skills, built valuable experience and embraced every opportunity to grow as healthcare professionals. Their commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care will make a lasting difference for consumers, families and our community.

BreastScreen WA's Mandurah Clinic has been supporting women's health for 10 years 🎉

Since opening in 2016, the clinic has helped improve access to breast screening for women across the Peel region, and has provided:
📊 67,454 free screening mammograms
💗 8,389 first-time screens for women

BreastScreen WA provides free breast screening mammograms every two years to women aged 40 years and over and with no breast symptoms.

Did you know? Screening mammograms may detect a very small cancer, as small as a grain of rice, before you or your doctor can feel it.

Breast cancer cannot be prevented, but the earlier a breast cancer is detected the better the chance of successful treatment.
