Room 10 had a wonderful Book Week celebration! We started the week with a fun book tasting, exploring a variety of genres and completing book reviews. On Tuesday, we were lucky to have Mrs Heather-Sophia Thomson visit our classroom to read her book Bettyโ€™s Big Day Out.

We also enjoyed our Book Week costume parade and finished the week by performing an adapted version of โ€œI Am a Music Manโ€, with a special Book Week twist! ๐Ÿ“–๐ŸŽต

Well done, Room 10, on a fantastic assembly and for sharing your love of books and reading with our school community!

Year 1 & 2 SciTech Excursion! ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ”ฌ

Our Year 1 and 2 students had a fabulous day at SciTech, exploring the exciting world of science with our expert guide, Ben!

Students enjoyed the Spring Loaded science show, discovering how springs store and transfer energy through lots of fun demonstrations.
They then journeyed through space in the Planetarium, learning about the planets and constellations before exploring the interactive exhibits and completing a fun science scavenger hunt.

A huge thank you to our wonderful parent helpers for giving up their time to support our students and make the day so special.

We are also incredibly proud of our students, who represented Edney Primary School so well. Their excellent behaviour, enthusiasm, curiosity and respect throughout the day were fantastic to see!

Well done, Year 1 and 2!

After 16 weeks of growing, our potatoes were finally ready to be dug up! ๐Ÿฅ”๐ŸŒฑ
We went on a treasure hunt and discovered around 30 potatoes from each bed, including Delaware and Tiger potatoes. We chopped them up, spread them on trays, cooked them in the oven and, of course, gobbled them up!
What a delicious reward for all our hard work!

To celebrate the upcoming Book Week theme, Symphony of Stories, our EC1 students put on a fantastic performance at their assembly! ๐Ÿ“š๐ŸŽถ

Dressed as their favourite book characters, the students danced, played instruments and created their very own symphony of stories. They worked incredibly hard to prepare for their performance and should be so proud of their wonderful efforts! ๐ŸŒŸ

Well done, EC1! ๐Ÿ‘โค๏ธ

Positive Behaviour Focus โ€“ Term 3, Weeks 5 & 6 ๐ŸŒŸ

Our Positive Behaviour Focus for Weeks 5 and 6 is Involvement โ€“ We have a go at all tasks.

By having a go at every task, students are encouraged to try their best, embrace mistakes as part of learning, and build confidence and resilience. Families can support this focus by encouraging their child to try before asking for help, breaking tasks into smaller steps, and using positive language to celebrate effort and progress.

Together, we can continue to build a positive attitude towards learning and encourage every student to give things a go! ๐Ÿฆ˜๐Ÿ’™
