Our Secretary, Helen, was invited to attend a luncheon at ANZAC House Perth, where she had the opportunity to meet with Len Russell, Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Veterans Children Assistance Trust (AVCAT) and see how the students we proudly sponsor are progressing with their studies. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about their achievements and the positive impact our sponsorship is having on their education and future goals..
On behalf of Joondalup City RSL Sub-Branch, I would like to say how honored we are to support these outstanding young people. Seeing them develop their skills, confidence, discipline, and commitment is truly rewarding.
The values they are learning today—leadership, teamwork, resilience, respect, and service—are qualities that have been upheld by generations of Australian servicemen and women. By investing in our youth, we are helping to build a stronger future for our community and our nation.

Thanks to our RSL Social member, Tricia Green for organising our Volunteers Lunch, held at Eight Slices Restaurant. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and thank our members for everything they have contributed throughout the year.
It was a great way to come together, enjoy a beautiful lunch and take some time away from our usual activities to relax and socialise. The lunch provided an opportunity to share stories, have a few laughs, and get to know one another better. Events like this remind us that volunteering is not only about the work we do for others, but also about the friendships, connections and sense of community we build along the way. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying each other’s company and celebrate the important contribution our volunteers make.

JCRSL members Peter, Rick, Bee, Mark, and Nathan had a fantastic time celebrating Christmas in July at the Woodvale Tavern alongside our friends from North Beach RSL.

The afternoon was filled with great company, delicious food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The entertainment kept everyone smiling, with Mark even joining in and adding to the fun, much to everyone's enjoyment.

It was wonderful to catch up with members from North Beach RSL, share stories, laughter, and celebrate the Christmas spirit together in the middle of winter. Thank you to North Beach RSL for the friendship and camaraderie, and to the Woodvale Tavern for the excellent food and hospitality.

A memorable day enjoyed by all—we're already looking forward to the next get-together!
