Thursday morning, our students came together for a meaningful Reconciliation Assembly, reflecting on the importance of understanding, respect, and unity as we continue our journey towards reconciliation. Thank you to Room 6 and Mr Jones for hosting this important event.
Room 6’s Reconciliation Acrostic Poem
R – Respect: respecting culture, stories and traditions helps us learn from one another.
E – Equality: everyone deserves to feel included, valued and heard.
C – Connection: connection brings communities together through understanding and kindness
O – Opportunity: opportunity means creating a fair future for everyone.
N – Noongar: we proudly acknowledge the Whadjuk Noongar people, the Traditional Custodians of this land.
C – Caring: caring for each other and our environment builds strong communities.
I – Inclusion: inclusion means making sure everyone feels welcome and safe.
L – Learning: learning about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories helps us grow together.
I – Integrity: Integrity means doing what is right, even when nobody is looking.
A – Acceptance: Acceptance means celebrating our differences and learning from one another.
T – Together: together we can create a kinder and more respectful Australia
I – Inspire: we can inspire others through kindness, understanding and respect.
O – Open-minded: Being open minded helps us listen, learn and grow
N – Next Generation: The next generation can continue building reconciliation for the future.
