Support for primary producers impacted by Cyclone Narelle 💼

A new recovery grant is available for primary producers in Exmouth, Carnarvon, Shark Bay, Ashburton or Upper Gascoyne.

Primary producers in these locations may be eligible to receive up to $40,000 to help with clean-up and reinstatement costs. This is in addition to existing support, including freight subsidies (up to 50%) and loan interest rate subsidies announced earlier.

We’ve been diving deep at Christmas Island 🌊🐠

Our Aquatic Pest Biosecurity team recently teamed up with Australian Marine Parks to check out key sites around the island – inspecting infrastructure and collecting samples to keep an eye on marine pests.

They also had the chance to work alongside WA Museum Boola Bardip Collections and Research scientists who were there conducting marine invertebrate surveys.

The good news? Early results show no invasive marine pests of concern – a great outcome for protecting these unique waters and the communities that depend on them 🙌
