All that glitters is not gold(fish) 😧

Ultra-high-resolution drone imagery surveying up to 500 hectares a day is helping us find and map skeleton w**d infestations before they can spread 🔎💀🌻

The new edge-computing technology is allowing our biosecurity officers to quickly locate suspect skeleton w**d detections in the field and upload suspect detections on the same day - speeding up identification and treatment.

The program is funded through WA’s Grain, Seeds and Hay Industry Funding Schemes.

WA’s wheatbelt has turned gold! 💛

As tempting as it may be to jump the fence and get a selfie – never enter a canola crop.

W**d seeds and soil that may contain fungal disease can easily be spread by footwear and vehicles, with devastating impacts on crops.

Stable fly is a declared pest in 15 local government areas on the Swan Coastal Plain 🪰

Landholders in these areas must take action to reduce stable fly breeding sites by managing organic waste on their property.
