Glow Community Services Inc. was registered in June 2016. Glow was birth out of a vision to impact and serve the community around the city of Cockburn and its surrounding vicinity. Our objective is to be a service provider to the community and contribute to the needs of the people within its area of service, regardless of race, religion or any other backgrounds. er environment so that migrants may integrate with the society, poor are looked after, families supported, student learning enriched, and the refugees and migrants settling in Australia are given opportunities to learn English and so begin a process of integration into Australia. In early 2018, Glow Community Services will be setting up its permanent centre in Cockburn at 37 Tamara Drive. Together, with Kingdom Light Christian Centre, this venue will serve as a hub for the young and old; providing services from youth intervention programs to social support programs for the elderly. Glow’s mission has been set in its constitution as a service that will provide;
a. Support programs for those in need; e.g. food, groceries, seniors care, refugees, indigenous Australians,
b. Programs for seniors, especially new migrant seniors and cross-state migrants seeking community support. Assimilation and education programs for migrants; including cultural, language, and regulatory requirements. Youth development programs e.g. cyber-safety, academic & vocational tutoring for under-privileged youth
e. Programs that have a significant and charitable benefit to the community in Perth and beyond as presently defined by the Charities Act 2013 or any future amendments to the Act. Glow will work with community organisations, schools and relevant authorities to offer and provide whatever services that may be required. Glow Community Services has been registered with the Australian Charities and Not-For-Profit Commission (ACNC) with a charitable collections licence.
