COMMUNITY PLANTING DAY SUNDAY TBA
The Community Planting Day for 2025 will be confirmed. As the area, 10b, which is currently being cleared, there is not a lot of planting required as it has the large gum tree canopy.

MOSQUITO MITIGATION IN BERRINGA PARK
Mosquito mitigation has been conducted in Berringa Park Wetlands on a fortnightly cycle during February and March. We had significant mosquito issues in early February and the course of action taken by the City of Bayswater Enviromental Health Department has seen a noticeable decrease in mosquito activity. Apex Drones piloted by Winston and Sam have been used to drop VectoBa "G" Biological Larvicide Proline Pellets over the Berringa Park Wetlands. It was a large area completed in very quick time by the large drone. A spotter boat was stationed in the river to prevent other boats coming too close to the working drone.

FOX TRAPPING
Fox trapping has been undertaken in Berringa Park. Please be aware and and keep your dogs away from the traps as they may be buried when you see the signs.

At today's work day at Berringa Park, we concentrated along the path and down the Centre Track to the river. It was a very low tide and exposed a lot of the riverbank and especially the rubbish that gets washed up. We found a Nokia phone which had been lost overboard from a boat and a needle box. As usual, we encountered a couple of our wriggling friends enjoying the warm sun on the path.
The Berringa Park Friends Group invites you to catch up at the Maylands Peninsula Golf Club on Sunday 8th December at 5.00pm for a drink and or a meal. You can purchase from the extensive summer menu which is now available. Bring along your family and friends and enjoy some great company.

It's amazing at some of the rubbish collected which includeded thongs, bottles, cans, tennis balls and a basket ball, plastic bags and wrappers and a b**g.
