It’s Tradies National Health Month! 🛠️

During August each year the Australian Physiotherapy Association campaigns to raise awareness of the health challenges faced by Tradies, including outdoor workers.

Our website hosts a range of information and resources for outdoor workers and their employers on how to stay safe from UV radiation at work.

PADDLE OUT FOR MARK LANE
 
This Saturday, August 29, we’ll come together at Scarborough Beach to celebrate the life of our CEO, colleague, mentor and friend, Mark “Laney” Lane after his recent passing.
 
Laney’s family, friends and the surfing community are invited to gather at Sunset Hill from 8am, before paddling out together in his memory.
 
Laney dedicated more than two decades to surfing, with his contribution and influence felt across WA, Australia and around the world. His passion, leadership and genuine care for the sport and its people will leave a lasting legacy.
 
Our love, thoughts and deepest condolences are with Mark’s family, loved ones and friends.

Congratulations to our 2026 High School Shade Competition winner....

Bridgetown High School 🥳

We're so happy to have awarded Bridgetown High School with a whopping $10,000 shade grant 💰 and we can’t wait to see the final installation!

We are also so proud of the initiatives that WA high schools have implemented to reduce the risk of future skin cancers for their students.

And the winner is… Bridgetown High School! 🎉

Congratulations to Bridgetown High School, winner of the inaugural High School Shade Competition! 🏆 The $10,000 prize will support a new shade project.

The competition encouraged WA high schools to improve sun protection for their students and staff by implementing new school wide initiatives. Bridgetown High School’s bucket hat initiative was one of their strategies to reduce the risk of skin cancer.

👏 Congratulations also to our runner-up schools, Salvado Catholic College (Byford) and Leaning Tree Steiner School (Geraldton), each receiving a SunSmart marquee to protect students at outdoor events.
