PHOA GOALS

We are the only incorporated body in WA working for better recognition of the rights of homeowners in residential parks and villages. Due to our lobbying a new law was passed (The Residential Parks [Long-Stay Tenancies] Act 2006 ('RPLST' Act). This Act dealt with some of our concerns in our unique situation as “land-lease homeowners”. The RPLSTA is currently under review and we hope t

hat more of the issues of homeowner vulnerability will be addressed. We work for greater security of tenure and compensation options when Parks close. We lobby for equitable pricing of utilities for park/village residents and for the maintenance of fair rents. We foster harmonious relations between Park Owners, managers and residents. We aim for fair management practices and responsible empowerment of residents, understanding that Parks/Villages have to run on a business model.
