We need to preserve what is left of our remnant (native) vegetation and important woodlands and wildlife habitat in Hervey Bay and surrounding areas

Under the Federal Environment Protection Biodiversity Conservation Act the plant Samadera bidwillii or common name QUASSIA is classified as VULNERABLE

So why is large scale clearing of approximately 200 acres of land adjacent to nearly 20 acres of remnant vegetation containing this species allowed to happen?

Gone are the trees and shrubs. Gone are the grasses. Gone are the waterways and natural drainage channels that fed into the several dams. Gone too is the habitat for the kangaroos, the many bird species and the frogs species. Why Fraser Coast Regional Council ?
