📚✨12 Hours. 4,655 Words. One Incredible Achievement! ✨📚

Yesterday, seven talented students from our Year 8 and 9 English Academies took on the challenge of Write a Book in a Day, proudly forming their own team, The Pelican Press! 🐦📖

From 8:00am to 8:00pm, our students worked together to write and illustrate an entirely original book, all while raising vital funds for The Kids’ Cancer Project. 💛

The result? The Final Scale — a fantastic story featuring seven chapters and an impressive 4,655 words! 🎉

Even more incredibly, their finished book will be made available to children in hospitals across Australia, helping bring some creativity, imagination and joy to children during what can be a difficult time. ❤️

A huge congratulations to our seven talented authors and illustrators, and to Mrs Porter, for guiding and supporting them throughout this amazing challenge!

Our Year 10 Business staff and students would like to thank everyone who made our RSPCA Cupcake Day Event a success. We exceeded our goal and raised an amazing $535.50 to help animals in need!

Special thanks to our bakers - Mr Dale and his Certificate I in Baking students, Mrs Burgess, Mr Beacroft and Ms Quinn for their tasty contributions and to all staff and students that purchased cupcakes or donated to the cause. We appreciate the support and hope to run this fundraiser again next year.

Congratulations also, to MJ and Sarah who won the RSPCA colouring competition in the Senior and Junior School respectively, leading up to the day.
