🚛Refuse Site Opening Days Changing

From Friday 4 September, the Pingelly Transfer Station will be changing its operating days.

🗓 New Opening Days
✅ Friday
✅ Saturday
✅ Sunday

⏰ 7:30am to 4:00pm

Please note that the Transfer Station will no longer be open on Mondays.

We'd also like to remind residents that free community waste disposal options are available, including the Community Waste Trailer, which can be booked through the Shire Office and delivered to your property for a week.

Remembering Jim Watts

While Jim's funeral service has already been held, the Shire of Pingelly would like to take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate Jim's remarkable contribution to our community.

🌧️ Volunteer Celebration Thank You! 🌧️

A huge thank you to everyone who braved the less-than-perfect weather to join us for our Volunteer Celebration on Wednesday night.

Shire staff worked hard behind the scenes to put on a great evening and show our appreciation for the incredible volunteers who make our community such a special place.

A special shout-out to the Pingelly Arts & Craft Group at the Pingelly Arts and Craft Hub for allowing us to make a last-minute move indoors. It was fantastic to showcase the Hub and give attendees a chance to see the exciting changes that have already taken place since the building became operational.

Thank you again to all our volunteers for the time, energy and passion you contribute to our community. We appreciate everything you do! ❤️👏

🌧️ Volunteer Celebration - Come Rain or Shine! 🌧️

Well... we've seen the weather forecast! 😅 But don't let a little rain stop you.

If the weather isn't playing nice, we'll move the celebration inside the Pingelly Arts & Craft Hub and keep the fun going. It might not have quite the same ambience as festoon lights and a crackling fire, but we'll add a bit of sparkle, crank up the gas heaters, and make sure it's still a fantastic afternoon!

Our Library at the Pingelly Community Resource Centre is encouraging community members to take part in the 2026 Public Library Outcomes Survey.

Last year, more than 1,200 Western Australians shared their experiences, helping libraries better understand what their communities value and identify opportunities for improvement.

By completing the survey, you'll help: ✅ Shape future library services, programs and spaces
✅ Support local planning and decision-making
✅ Strengthen advocacy for libraries
✅ Ensure our community is represented in statewide library planning

Libraries that receive 50 or more responses will receive a detailed report of community feedback to help guide future improvements.
