⚒️ A section of the Point Lonsdale Promenade will be closed from Monday 25 May – Friday 29 May while contractors repair a cracked section of the pathway.

🚧 During this time, pedestrians are encouraged to use the alternative route through Bunnywoods. Please note this path includes uneven ground and stairs, so it’s not suitable for bikes or prams.

🤝 We appreciate your patience and understanding while these important repairs are carried out.

Beginning in May, development of the final portion of Queenscliff Cemetery (north-west corner) will commence, providing future burial and memorial positions to meet the needs of our growing community.

I’ve teamed up with Cr Elise Wilkinson-Connewarre Ward to host a film screening of From Ground Zero (2025) on Sunday 31 May in Queenscliff. The film is 22 stories from Palestinian film makers made across a range of mediums and cinematic styles.

This event is a community gathering, focused on sharing human stories of an enduring conflict, and looking beyond the headlines of the war’s impact on our fuel prices and cost of living.

We invite our community to come together to listen, learn, and place feelings of hopelessness or sadness in a shared experience.

Tickets are $20 via Humanitix: https://events.humanitix.com/from-ground-zero-queenscliffe

All profits made from the screening will be donated to Médecins Sans Frontières / MSF. Big thanks also to local Sammy Twycross for this beautiful poster, and to The Bookshop at Queenscliff who will be onsite selling relevant reading.

This event is not an official Council event of either BOQ or COGG, and is hosted by Elise and me in our capacities as individual community representatives.
