Happy World Rainforest Day 🌿

The Daintree is one of the oldest living rainforests on the planet and is still thriving in Tropical North Queensland.

The best way to experience it? Through the eyes of the people who have known it for thousands of years. On the Ngadiku Dreamtime Walk, an experienced Kuku Yalanji guide welcomes you with a traditional smoking ceremony, then leads you along private rainforest tracks – sharing bush foods, traditional plant use and the stories of this Country along the way.

'Ngadiku' (Nar-di-gul) means stories and legends from a long time ago in local Kuku Yalanji language. On Country, those stories are living – shared, walked and passed on.

The Yalanji RAW Reconciliation Fun Run & Walk is a free, family-friendly community event at Mossman Gorge Cultural Centre, inviting all ages and abilities to walk, run or cheer alongside one another.
