Our FoGI members have been monitoring Griffiths Island and surrounding coastal areas for signs of avian flu (N5).

In the past few days a Greater Crested Tern and an Albatross has been reported for Griffiths Island.

If you see any unwell birds. Please follow the advice:
Avoid contact - Record information -
Report to the hotline 1800 675 888 or via the website (Agriculture Victoria bioforms).

We expect to see an increase in the impact of avian flu in the coming weeks.
Monitoring helps to focus the response from relevant authorities to respond to these incidences. And for agencies to collaboratively work together to reduce the initial spread.
