It's been a good run, but the time has arrived - the last public holiday until October. What shall you do in this long stretch of five day weeks? We will be providing library services with alacrity as usual. Just - not on Monday.
All libraries will be closed on Monday the 8th of June for the public holiday. You can still access all of our online resources on our website. Libraries will re-open on Tuesday the 9th of June as usual. Don't worry, we'll get through this together.

We have two more days of Sydney Writers Festival fun at the Glasshouse!
Tickets are available at the Glasshouse box office and if you show your library member card you can get discounted prices! There are programs on all day both today and tomorrow.
Some stand outs include Fantastical Worlds with Lev Grossman, R.F Kuang and Garth Nix, today at 4pm, and Power Up with Dav Pilkey will have fun for all ages at 12pm tomorrow, but there are incredible authors speaking all day livestreamed direct to the Glasshouse. See you there!

The Sydney Writers Festival kicked off today, and it's on til Sunday, no matter the weather!
Come down to the Glasshouse, there are books to peruse and great speakers to hear livestreamed direct from Sydney. You can get special discounted rates by showing your library card to the Glasshouse box office when you book. On now until this Sunday. See you there!

National Simultaneous Storytime 2026

We’re proud to join libraries, schools and communities across Australia for ALIA’s National Simultaneous Storytime – a celebration of literacy, imagination and the joy of shared reading.

This year’s featured book, Luna Roo, is a lively underdog story that’s sure to delight young readers.

Join us at your local library for a special Storytime session featuring Luna Roo, along with additional stories, songs and a fun craft activity.
