This week we acknowledged National Sorry Day and now National Reconciliation Week.
This year’s theme, “All In”, reminds us that reconciliation is everyone’s responsibility. We each contribute by listening, learning, being respectful and through our actions.
Our students are engaging in age-appropriate discussions and research in class. We believe understanding Australia’s shared history is important. That unfair and harmful things happened in the past, that these things caused lasting hurt, and that reconciliation asks all of us to listen, learn and help build a more respectful future.
At PMPS, we respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and pay respect to the ongoing living cultures of First Peoples.
