Here’s the finished repair, considering the amount of tape it originally had on it I was very pleased with the result, we had to build a whole new spine, split the boards to insert the new spine and rebuild and strengthen the original endpapers. The customer was very happy to have her treasured book back to s condition it could be used again

This much loved book needed some restoration. First step we needed to get rid of the dreaded masking tape, and clean off the cover. Next step separating the broken cover from the book block, now we can get started! Will post a shot of completed book soon

Wow, what a treat! In 1930 this book was released as a medical text book, and in 1994 American rock band Pearl Jam released its third album also called Vitalogy, they used the exact same art on their album as this book. What makes this book so rare and special is that it has been signed by all the members of the band, which makes this particular book very rare! Thought you might get a kick out of it. Thanks Shane for letting me work on your book and letting me post it on instagram.
